Sharpen your wits, hone your bluffing skills, and outmaneuver your shipmates in this high-stakes game of deception and strategy. With every bid, you risk revealing too much—or too little—about your hand. Can you outlast the others to claim the pot, or will your lies sink your chances? Beware the call of “bluff” and the tide of wagers that grow as crewmates fall. In the end, only the most cunning sailor will seize the spoils!
Gameplay:
1. Starting Off:
- At the start of the game, each player contributes to an initial pot.
- All players roll their dice secretly, keeping the results hidden beneath their cups.
2. Bidding:
- The first player makes a bid about the total number of dice showing a specific face across all players.
- Example: “There are at least five 3s among all our dice.”
- The next player must either:
- Raise the Bid: Increase the number of dice or face value (e.g., “There are at least six 3s” or “There are at least five 4s”).
- Call Bluff: Challenge the previous player’s claim.
3. Calling a Bluff:
- When a bluff is called, all players reveal their dice.
- Count how many dice match the face value in the most recent bid.
- If the bid is correct, the challenger loses one die.
- If the bid is false, the bidder loses one die.
4. Eliminations and Wagering:
- A player is eliminated when they lose all their dice.
- After each elimination, the remaining players ante up to add to the pot.
5. Next Round:
- The next round begins with the player who lost a die in the previous round.
