Billy ”Ba-Lou”

Billy ”Ba-Lou” grew up stuck to the hip of his father, a master carpenter and builder in the ports of Nantucket.

At 16 he took over his father's shop and created not only beautiful furnishing for ships but interesting boxes and compartments for the local pirates and thieves. He became a household name for every person that lived in the small colony.

So it begins...

He had the dream life. A wife who worked hard to create a home above their shop, Kids scampering around ready and happy to take on the family business, and the love and admiration of his town. He was regarded as a kind and honest man with a passable sense of humor.

At 60 a young woman came into the shop looking for a crew to sail in the name of adventure and profit up and down the Atlanitic coast in a schooner dubbed “Artmess”. With his children now running “Williams Walls and Whatnots ” and the support of his wife he signed up to give the admittedly rough ship going on the long journey to Florida. Meeting Captin Redbeard and Captian Blackpowder. He was immediately inamored by the life they lived and was fully behind Brookes’ ambition.

When they returned he sailed with the artmess for several missions but after the group disbanded do to creative differences amongst the crew Billy settled back into his normal routine. He still goes occasionally with Brooke as they sail down the coastline to visit there warm weather friends. His wife has lovingly dubbed him a “Snowbird” as often when the chill sets into the colonies he gets the itch to go back to the warm seas of Florida.
